#1 MakerBot Replicator 2X Review
This 3D printer is the best all-around 3D printer as it can process different filaments including ABS. This is an excellent 3D printer because it prints without problems. It’s bed works as expected.
In addition, you can easily remove your 3D printed object from the bed. Just twist and pull it off from the bed and you’ll have it.
It also comes with a smart extruder that adds some functionality that is valuable in detecting slips and faster heating up and cooling down. This is super easy to attach and it accurately detects issues and pauses in your print which saves you from tons of problems.
Overall, I am very pleased with this 3D printer from it’s sleek design, smart features, overall user experience and consistent quality.
There’s nothing to complain in this ABS 3D printer, perhaps, aside from its price. This device is highly costly compared to its competitors.
#2 Creality CR 10 Review
Creality3D CR 10 3D printer is a DIY kit aluminum 3D printing machine with a large print. It looks small but produces big prints. Since you have to assemble this, it’s much cheaper than most brands you’ll find in the market.
If you’re not confident with your assembly skills, don’t worry because this isn’t hard to set up at all. I’m personally not very skilled with this thing but good news, this only comes with three sets and you can assemble it in 10 minutes.
The wires are already connected to the control boards and cable, so you don’t have to deal with the hard part — wiring!
In addition, this is a good deal. It is designed with imported linear navigation with low friction. This industrial-grade PCB can continuously print for 200 hours without pressure. So, yes, this is a good value for money because it has a long service life.
Prior to assembly, I suggest that you take out the included microSD card and adapter and read the material to be guided accordingly. The calibration may take time, but it’s very doable.
However, not everyone may find the assembly process easy. I didn’t have any issues when I assembled this but some of the things I believe that beginners might find challenging is that the X-axis limit switch cable was impossible to plugin so I had to disassemble the switch housing, remove the switchboard, plug the cable in and reassemble it. Leveling the hotbed with those little screws is hard on the fingertips.
Also, the filament seems to be prone to tangling which causes print failure. So, you have to position this at a certain distance from the frame for the filament to feed into the extruder without issues.

This 3D printer has a solid design. It has a steel rigid chassis. I like this because I believe that printers with steel frameworks better.
MakerGear M2 delivers great quality prints once fine-tuned. However, I have to tell you that this is not easy to fine tune. Some find it easy, but others don’t.

Overall, I love the 3D printer’s built, quality output, and of course, the amazing support that stands out to me.
I have no issues with this perhaps aside from the price. However, I’ve heard from some that they had issues with overheating. So, you might as well take caution.

The best thing about this is that it so easy to calibrate for beginners. Just follow the instructions provided in the online video. It also prints roof structures and overhangs without the use of support. In addition, it converts STL files to print smoothly using free Cura app.
However, just like any other device, users have different experiences with this. Some have complaints about its quality. I’m mentioning that here to give you a concrete idea on what to expect in this device.
This is not perfect, but personally, I’m happy and satisfied with what I’ve got. Perhaps it’s just a matter of a miss and hit in quality. But most of the users I know enjoyed this.

It’s also very easy to use, changing the nozzle won’t take hours only 30 seconds. Its support material does not jam, the heat bed is uniform and it doesn’t need calibration. It’s a breeze.
In addition, I’m impressed that with this I can conveniently monitor and control my 3D printer when I’m connected to a Wi-Fi network. Its camera helps me keep an eye on the print and I can pause or abort the print. This helps me feel at ease working on my project knowing that I can still check on it even if I’m away as long as I’m connected to a Wi-Fi.
The downside with this ABS 3D printer is its price. Ultimaker is very expensive. Also, I noticed that it’s slower than other machines with dual nozzles.
Overall, I find Ultimaker 3 a great ABS 3D printer. Even if it’s expensive, this machine is worth it!
Cheap ABS 3D Printer
ABS plastic 3d printer price varies. There are 3D printing machines that are very expensive while others are affordable. In this article, you will find Creality CR 10 as the most affordable ABS 3D printer compared to the other brands. This 3D printing machine will only cost you less than $500.

ABS 3D Printer Settings
If you are new to 3D printing and are still figuring out how to set your 3D printer ABS extrusion temperature, you’ll find answers in this section. I’ll cover the temperature, speed, cooling and heating settings. Let’s get started.
You need a nozzle temperature between 230 – 250oC to properly print with ABS filament. You can start with 240o C.
ABS filament can be 3D-printed at a high speed. With this filament, you can go above 70 mm/s but if you do so, you have to increase the nozzle temperature to keep ABS hot enough to remain liquid. But the best results that will give you detailed output is printing at relatively low speeds <40 mm/s.
ABS 3D printer filament is highly susceptible to warping. Thus, it is highly recommended that you keep a cooling fan at a low speed or even turned off prevent ugly deformities and warping.
3D printing with ABS filament requires a heated bed to prevent warping. The temperature the heated bed needs to be at 90oC minimum. The recommended temperature for the heated bed lies between 90 – 110oC.
